California Proposition 65 Notice

Certain Simply Wellness Club products may display the following warning in accordance with California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65):

WARNING: Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals, including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

Why does this warning appear?

Proposition 65 is a California law that requires businesses to provide a warning when products may expose consumers to one or more chemicals listed by the State of California above specified regulatory thresholds.

The Proposition 65 list includes more than 1,000 naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals. Many of these substances can be found in everyday foods, beverages, dietary supplements, plants, and agricultural products.

What does this mean?

The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is unsafe or that it violates any federal safety standards.

California's warning requirements differ from regulations established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory agencies. As a result, products that fully comply with applicable federal regulations may still require a Proposition 65 warning when sold in California.

Certain ingredients used in dietary supplements are derived from natural sources. Because minerals naturally occur in soil, water, and the environment, trace amounts of heavy metals may be present in agricultural ingredients.
